Wind the string around the yo-yo’s axle. At the strings end make a noose that fits over the first knuckle of your middle finger.
Bend your elbow so that your palm faces you.
Cock your wrist; as you lower your forearm to shoulder height, give your wrist a flick and let the yo-yo roll down the string.
Just as the yo-yo reaches the end of the string (it shouldn’t touch the ground), turn your hand over and give a little tug;
The yo-yo will ride up the string and back into your palm.
