How to cure a sore throat instantly

Having a sore throat has never been a nice thing. People may have one due to a variety of reasons that includes too much of speaking or shouting, too much of singing, cold or having too much of any something like tamarind or ice-cream. Some people end up with a sore throat as they may be allergic to a certain substance. While its severity may differ from person to person, its common effects include inability to speak or severe pain in the throat while speaking and pain while swallowing food. Basically, a sore throat owes its genesis to a swelling up of the lymph nodes.  A typical antibiotic course can help people recover from this condition, however in case of absence of any medical guidance; people can try out a few reliable home remedies. Moreover, in case the condition persists, people should immediately see a doctor. People should also ascertain if they are not allergic to some of the ingredients used in any home remedies. A few of these home remedies are mentioned below.


Firstly, people can take a glass of lukewarm water and add to it two to three drops of freshly squeezed lemon juice along with a drop of honey. This is beneficial as lemon contains Vitamin C which comes in handy while fighting strained vocal chords and flu. Another remedy with lemon is to cut a medium sized lemon into two halves and lather both of them with pepper and salt. They should let the lemons sit until the pepper gets absorbed by each of the halves. Next, people should lick the halves until they have licked up the entire juice. They can also mix a quarter spoon of cayenne pepper in a cupful of boiling hot water and then drink it. Drinking chamomile tea once or twice a day is also known as to bring potential relief from a sore throat. Drinking ginger tea brings relief from a sore throat as well as a fever.  Alternatively, they can also opt for honey suckles tea or marshmallow root tea. Moreover, just as a precaution, people should always drink hot or lukewarm water.


Gargling is found to be highly effective for treating sore throats. People can gargle at regular intervals with salt mixed in hot or lukewarm water to get ample relief from a sore throat almost instantaneously. Alternatively, they could also gargle with Aloe Vera liquid. Basil leaves, since centuries have been used in traditional medicines for treating sore throat. So people can either use them in their tea or can boil them in water and then drink the liquid. Another common spice that can be used to get some relief from a sore throat is cinnamon. People can either consume it in powder form by grinding it in a mixer or a mortar and pestle or can mix it in a glass of warm milk and then drink it. Moreover, bathing in Epsom salt is also known as an effective remedy against a sore throat.  Lastly, raw garlic is a potential remedy for this condition. While these remedies are known to be highly effective, their effects may be different from person to person.
